Marsilio Ficino
Marsilio Ficino was a great philosopher during the Renaissance. He was born on October 19, 1433. He was chosen to be the head of Plato's Academy at Florence, where he translated many Plato manuscripts from Greek to Latin. He later became a priest and also a vegetarian. He died on October 1, 1499.
He is known for publishing many philosophical letters such as De amore and De vita libre tres. He has a huge selection of works. He was accused of practicing magic by Pope Innocent VIII, but was never found guilty.
