Venice
During the Renaissance, Venice was a republic. It was basically an empire. It had a good economy, which it accomplished because of all the art and architecture. It had a lot of sculptors, glass-workers, woodworkers, and much more. It dealt mainly with those types of occupations and trade. It is known for having a city with water canals instead of roads.
